Pork Rilletts by Winslow Pates and Terrines

We're off to supper at Adderbury's lively Community Food Market at The Institute because we've had a very busy day and we don't wish to cook.  That means, no washing up to do or wandering what to have for Virginia will have organised her usual delicious menu which is exactly what's needed tonight!

For supper, we had Virginia's ham and leek gratin and her courgette and chick pea bake both of which were very good and served with new potatoes.
Organic Courgette and Chick Pea Bake for me and....

Ham and Leek Gratin for the dear SO.....all cooked by Virginia of Smart Cookies...and helped by husband David Yip tonight - thanks guys for a smashing supper xxx

We arrive in time to see very early marketeers already homeward bound with baskets of fresh veggies, butchery, pastries, yoghurt, pates and terrine from new-to-market first-timers Winslow Pates and Terrines.

Once I'd come across their stall I simply had to sample their delicious Ham Hock Terrine before rushing off to find the dear SO slurping coffee outside; my reason for doing so was the "Winslow" connection -  the dear SO began life in Winslow and very pleased he is too about this fact.  So now the Market has two "Winslow" connections - Winslow Pates and Terrines and Foxdenton's Winslow Plum Gin.  Two further connections arise because we've picked and made Winslow plums for homemade plum jam and I've made quite a few pates and terrines over  the years and, come to think of it, it's about time I did so again!

Game Terrine and Porky Madness..

their Ham Hock Terrine - on the righthand side of the board - is what we bagged to bring home and...next time I shall bring home their  Pork Rilletts.

Walking about the market after supper. we chatted to Anson Veg, and bagged a nice collection of their veg,
to Ellie and Mark of Ellie's Kitchen and bought their lemon cake and two pieces of their squidgy orange cake.  To Moore and Lyon Produce for their smoked back Bacon, to Once Bitten for Jo's crunchy seeded  Organic Granola with Agave Syrup and Cotswold Honey plus organic orange peel and whole almonds.  With its jumbo oats, it's not gluten-free, but many folks like me, can tolerate oat gluten, so I'm more than happy to sprinkle Jo's  granola on top of any breakfast or pudding bowl - can't wait!!!  To Appletree Dairy for their delicious cherry yoghurt, from the market in May, but OMG  my purse was empty! Oh drat...

After chatting to friends whilst enjoying our lovely coffeefrom another new-to-the market scene tonight,  and loaded down with provender for the week ahead, we drive home to sample Ellie's lovely puddings.  It's been a really lovely hot spring day and it's been great to have supper out at Adderbury's Spring Community Food Market.

Ellie's Kitchen delicious Lemon Pudding...which I ate with cream...
and Richard enjoyed squidgy orange pudding by Ellie's Kitchen !!!

And here's my delicious Breakfast of Organic Granola with my homemade seeded oat Muesli with Plum Compote and LactoFree milk
What's my most favourite meal......it's gotta be Breakfast time!!! xxx

Happy Spring market time, everybody and happy eating xxx
